School holidays are coming, and I’ll be taking a wee break after the weekends events to head out of town and go tiki touring with the kids from 26 September – 6 October!

I’ll then be working reduced hours during the second week of the school holidays, with more regular email checking resuming from Monday 12 October.

Please note that I’ll have limited access to emails while I’m away. I’ll try to check in when I can, but if I don’t get a chance to respond straight away, please bear with me. I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m home and catching up.

If you’re needing any MKT hire items over this period, please make sure you get your booking sorted well in advance so I can have everything organised and ready to go for you. I won’t be able to arrange or assist with hire items once I’ve left town.

For 2026, I’ll will continue to be taking on a limited number of full styling bookings as I focus on creating a better balance and prioritising what matters most. If full styling isn’t available for your date, don’t worry — I offer a wide range of beautiful hire items that are perfect for adding those special finishing touches. All hire items are available for convenient 7-day collection and return from our base in Mosgiel.

A Quick Note on Communication

I generally check and respond to emails between Monday and Friday. From Friday/Saturday/Sunday, I’m usually busy bringing events to life, spending time with family, and squeezing in a little recovery time after all the partying!

If you’re waiting on a reply, please also check your spam or junk folder — occasionally my emails like to hide there.

I’ve included my planned leave dates below for the remainder of the year and into early 2027, so we can all plan ahead for any of your party and event needs.

MKT PARTY HIRE – HOLIDAY & REDUCED HOURS UPDATE

As we start looking ahead to Christmas and the New Year, I wanted to get my upcoming time away and reduced hours out there early so we can all plan ahead.

MKT is a small business built around my family, and while I’ll always do my best to keep things ticking along, there are times when family gets to come first. ❤️

Here’s what’s coming up:

27 September – 6 October
School holidays are here and I’ll be taking a week off to go tiki touring with the kids!
I’ll then be working reduced hours during the second week of the school holidays, with more regular email checking resuming from Monday 12 October.

From 19 December 2026
From this date, I won’t be working events while I’m on leave, which is currently planned through until the end of January. I’ll also have limited access to emails and admin during this time. I’ll try to check in when I can, but if I don’t get a chance to respond straight away, please bear with me. I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m able.

24 December 2026 – 5 January 2027
I’ll be completely offline and unavailable.

January 2027
After 5 January, I’ll be on holiday for most of January and will only be intermittently checking emails when I can. I’ll be spending quite a bit of time out of town. I’ll try to check in when I can, but if I don’t get a chance to respond straight away, please bear with me. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

At this stage, MKT events will resume from 30 January 2027.

✈️ 10–22 March 2027 inclusive
I’ll again be completely offline and unavailable while my family and I are out of the country on holiday.

Planning an event or need hire items?

If your event falls around any of these dates, please get in touch early so we can get everything organised in advance. There will be some delays in responding while I’m taking time away, so allowing a little extra time for planning and finalising details will be greatly appreciated.

Hire items can still be arranged in advance, with collection and return available through the MKT self-service locker system, 9am–4pm, 7 days a week. This means your hire can often still go ahead even when I’m personally away — provided everything is organised before my departure. Once I’m out of town, I won’t be able to assist or help with any last-minute requests or changes.

For styling, balloons, Photo Booths or anything that requires me personally, there are many dates I will not be available to assist and I apologise in advance for any disappointment this may cause.

Please don’t leave it until the last minute.
I genuinely don’t like having to disappoint people by saying I can’t help, especially when a little forward planning could have made it possible.

MKT exists because I’ve built it around being able to work while also being Mum to my two girls. That balance is really important to me, and these breaks are what allow me to continue doing what I love and providing the MKT service you’ve come to know.
